Gympie Cemetery – Friday 30th October 2026
9:00am – 12:00pm
Join Project Norden at Gympie Cemetery - 93 Cartwright Rd Gympie as we come together to honour our fallen military and police.
Throughout the morning, we’ll respectfully tidy and care for the graves of fallen military and police members within the cemetery, leaving a poppy and Australian flag as a small memento of remembrance.
Where possible, the grave-care process will be video recorded and combined with research into the individual’s story, helping us share their service and keep their memory alive.
Who can attend?
Military and police veterans and their families, along with current serving military and police members, are encouraged to join us. Local RSL sub-branches, police stations and other ex-service organisations will also be invited to participate.
What to wear & bring
Please wear sturdy shoes and suitable work clothing for approximately three hours outdoors in the sun.
Bring your own gardening gloves, water and sun protection. All other equipment required for the activity will be supplied by Project Norden.
Afterwards
Following the morning’s activities, we’ll gather at a nearby venue for lunch and a debrief, a chance to have a yarn, connect with others and continue building the mateship and social connections that are such an important part of Project Norden.
Whether it’s your first Project Norden activity or you’ve joined us before, come along, lend a hand and share in the mateship.
Honouring the fallen. Supporting the living.
